What is the Liberation Project?

The Liberation Project is a national conversation of Christians exploring the Gospel of Liberation. We seek a world where all of God’s Creation is collectively liberating systems of oppression, resurrecting new life, and collaborating with and for the mutuality and fullness of humanity.

From music to art to sermons, we’re committed to providing leaders and congregations with resources and community to further the Gospel of Liberation.

How does this work?

Inspiration

Sometimes we talk about liberation as something that “out there,” some abstract goal that we’re working towards but don’t really know what it looks like. We’re curating a diverse group of leaders and pastors to model what liberation looks like in their context.

We’re calling these people, “The Liberationists.” Learn more about them and their contexts to get inspired!

Resources

Liberation takes work. It’s something we can’t do alone and something that can be tough to even know where to start. We’re building resources to help you practice liberation personally and in your faith context.

From quizzes to sermon guides to activities you can do with your congregation, our goal is to give you a place to start in your journey of liberation!

Community

We know that liberation means something different to each of us and to our communities, so we want to start a conversation.

We’re committed to building a space where we can challenge each other, ask questions, and learn from the work that’s already around us. We think that this kind of messy community is at the heart of liberation, and ultimately makes us all more free.

liberationist Content

We think that Liberation looks different in every context, and sometimes we need an example of what Liberation looks like when lived out. So we bring you stories and resources to inspire and equip liberative work in your context.
